The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) has recognized Centner Academy’s Electrical Engineering elective for its cutting-edge and eco-friendly project, “Eco-friendly Scratch Games from Recycled Materials.” This project, led by Mr. Brett’s Electrical Engineering students, fuses technology, sustainability, and creativity to educate students about game development, upcycling, and the design process. It fosters an environment of creativity, problem-solving, and environmental consciousness, leading to unique game controllers and scratch games.
As a non-profit organization, ISTE focuses on promoting innovation in education through technology. It offers various services to support professional development for educators and education leaders, including the ISTELive conference, ISTE Standards for learning, teaching, and leading with technology, and ISTE Certification.
Centner Academy’s project was one of the 300 accepted from over 2,000 proposals submitted for ISTE Live conference this year. The conference attracts over 24,000 educators and education leaders worldwide, where they showcase the latest advancements in education innovation.
