On a recent evening, our 7th and 8th-grade students had the opportunity to witness the magic of opera at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. As part of their music class project-based learning, students attended a captivating performance of Giacomo Puccini’s masterpiece, “Tosca.” The event was not only educational but also an unforgettable experience for all who attended.
Our students were mesmerized by the powerful voices, elaborate costumes, and intricate stage design. The performance of “Tosca” allowed them to further appreciate the beauty and depth of opera as an art form, enriching their understanding of music and culture.
We are excited to announce that our next opera outing is scheduled for April 27th, when we will attend the timeless classic, “The Barber of Seville” by Gioachino Rossini. We invite our 5th and 6th-grade students to join us for this enchanting experience. Additionally, 7th and 8th-grade students who were unable to attend the “Tosca” performance are welcome to participate in this upcoming event.
