Our 6th grade scientists recently explored the concepts of density and chemical reactions by creating their own lava lamps! Using water, oil, food coloring, and Alka-Seltzer tablets, students witnessed firsthand how liquids with different densities interact. The bubbling, colorful creations provided a fun and engaging way to learn about polarity, gas formation, and the science behind this classic effect. It was a hands-on learning experience that brought science to life!
