K-12 Remediation and Support Facilitator

Centner Academy is seeking a K-12 Remediation and Support Facilitator to join its growing faculty for the 2024-2025 school year. Must be comfortable being in person on campus with students. The Remediation and Support Facilitator will support students with learning gaps and their general education, and Lead teachers to promote the inclusion of students with learning gaps in the general curriculum. This position will report to the School Principals.

Essential Performance Responsibilities:

The Remediation & Support Facilitator shall carry out the performance responsibilities listed below: 

  • Provide academic intervention support in the general classroom setting and in as a pull-out, with the aim of improving student academic performance and achievement. Provide this support at the level and frequency as determined by the Student Success Team.
  • Document student progress in a timely manner using the format provided by the Student Success Team.
  • Participate in Student Success meetings.  
  • Collaborate with the Student Success Team. 
  • Model small group instruction for Teachers.
  • Coordinate testing accommodations as needed.
  • Utilizing educational best practices, develop instructional strategies for individual students to address learning gaps. Support teachers in implementing these strategies.
  • Review current developments, literature, and technical sources of information related to job responsibilities.  
  • Ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the School Principal or designee. 

Minimal Qualifications & Experience:

  • An earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.  
  • A minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as an ESE Teacher.  
  • Certified by the State of Florida in any area of Exception Student Education.  
  • Knowledge of and experience in the following: regular curriculum, modified (ESE) curriculum, assessments, and classroom accommodations and modifications.  
  • Ability to work well with lead teachers, parents, and Student Success Team Leader in both academic and non-academic classes. 
  • Ability to communicate with school staff to carry out cooperative consultation on fully mainstreamed students with learning gaps. 
  • Knowledge of varying teaching methodologies. 
  • Fluent in educational technology
